As a travel destination, Prague has much to offer. Much more, in fact, than the architectural and historical wonders for which it is famous.
I believe the real Prague is more than the sum of its vaunted tourist attractions — they are only one part of the picture.
As I walked the city, I focused the lens of my camera on the things that spoke to my heart.
The exterior of an old building, its surface scarred by the passage of centuries … the worn, cobblestone pavement … a battered, yet still usable chair.
Each of these things spoke to me, and I replied in turn — with my heart as well as my camera.
Like passengers riding somberly together on the city’s trams, I recognized each as a fellow-traveler, a living reminder of something precious that I had forgotten in my own past.
